Refugee Career Pathways Guide

The Refugee Career Pathways Guide contains a thorough review of  resources available to immigrants looking to advance along career pathways in Engineering and Information Technology. We outline basic requirements of working in each field, followed by courses and programs to enhance and demonstrate skills to prospective employers. Each course and program is assessed for accessibility and value in the market and has been chosen carefully. Some are expensive, but are included because they enable people to enter challenging and lucrative fields, establish credibility in those fields, and earn higher pay on average. Credential programs should be approached as investments and chosen based on which has the highest potential return for the individual.

How To Use

The Career Pathways Guide is designed for use by refugee service providers, including employment specialists and program leads. It may be shared with individual clients on a discretionary basis, but its best use will be as a reference document for fundraising and matching individuals with the right certification or program.
